An environment of disciple-making

God has placed believers in communities all over the world, called the local church. The local church community must provide an environment that will ensure that believers are continually nurtured, encouraged, equipped and empowered to express their faith in a way that will impact the world we live in. YCK Chapel with the help of the Holy Spirit hopes to provide every believer with the opportunity to be discipled and to become a disciple-maker.

Follow-up of New Believers

As part of our discipleship programme, young believers and new Christians are immediately channelled into a follow-up class. This is usually conducted on a one-on-one basis.

Small Groups

Our Small Group Ministry is focused on intentional disciple-making. Three different types of small groups help us to deliver this.

·        Outreach (Open) Groups – these are dynamic outreach teams formed for the purpose of connecting and befriending people from all walks and stations in life, inside and outside the church, with the objective of sharing the love of Christ with them.

·        Discipleship Groups – these are special growth groups where we nurture and build strong foundation and understanding of Christian discipleship, where members will learn to pursue life-long spiritual growth and maturity in Christ in God’s family.

·        Mentoring Groups – these are small groupings of men or women engaged in personal level of sharing and accountability where members learn to go on to reproduce spiritually in others.

Church Camps

Once in every 18 months, we hold a church camp. Our church camps have taken place alternatively in June and in December. Church camps are usually time away for members and their families and friends spent with the church in a communal setting. These are times where they experience literally a period of being "set apart" from the hustle and bustle of everyday living. A time of spiritual renewal and refreshment. Our camps are usually held at a hotel or resort in Malaysia.
