Title of book: "Keep Going!"
Author: Rodney Hui
Reviewer: Chen Yahui

Rodney Hui is an OMer (Operation Moblisation, www.om.org), who has served in the mission field for at least 28 years. In this book, he brings to light what mission is, from an Asian perspective, in a simple and personal way through his own experiences and those of whom he had met while serving.

The book is divided into three sections. Firstly, he began with discussing some basic Christian living issues that we faced from time to time, and provided some guidelines on topics such as "Growing up" and "Leadership". Some of the subjects may be familiar to some of us but it was interesting to reflect on these issues once again and be refreshed to know that Jesus Christ is the center of our beliefs and actions.

In the second section, the author started with a step-by-step approach into how we can take part in missions and explain the qualities needed in a missionary especially in the 21st century where technologies have advanced rapidly. He challenged readers on the non optional commandment by Jesus Christ to take part in the Great Commission. All of us can take part in missions directly or indirectly either by going forth to work in the field or taking up the role as a sender. The author devoted a chapter to provide guidelines on how one can be a sender and the tasks involved. Consequently, he addressed his concerns that the harvest is plentiful but workers are few and his objective in this section is to get you going in missions.

In the last section, the chapters are filled with heart-warming and real stories from missionaries from and in Asia, which are very close to our hearts. In one of the chapters, our church mission worker, Josephine Tan shared her own personal experience working in Nepal, recounting the times of trials and struggles she faced and the sweetness of the fruits, from God our Father.

Interestingly, even young children can take part in missions too. In one of the chapters, the author described his experience in bringing a group of young children into the mission field. It was a very fun and life-changing experience for them.

Through exploring this short, easy-to-understand book which is organized into clear chapters and pointers, I have gained an insight into the why, what and how of missions. May you have a blessed time reading this book.
