What is Alpha ?

The Alpha course presents Christianity in a thought-provoking but low-key way. Laughter, cheerful hospitality, interactive discussion and friendships are all very much part of Alpha.

The Alpha logo shows a person cheerfully carrying a question mark around. In Alpha we always welcome questions and cheerfully hear people's viewpoints. So it is not surprising that Alpha guests on their own keep coming back to hear more about the Christian faith, and are comfortable discussing important life issues.

Alpha runs over 11 weeks, covering many central topics of the Christian faith:

1. Is Christianity boring, untrue and irrelevant?
2. Who is Jesus?
3. Why did Jesus die?
4. How can I be sure of my faith?
5. Why and how do i pray?
6. Why and how should I read the Bible?
7. How does God guide us?
8. Who is the Holy Spirit?
9. What does the Holy Spirit do?
10. How can I be filled with the Holy Spirit?
11. How can I resist evil?
12. Does God heal today?
13. What about the church?
14. How can I make the most of the rest of my life?

Alpha has brought the Gospel to over 6 million people across 150 countries around the world. Today Alpha also helps people all over Asia discover the true meaning of life. All are welcome to join! Invite your friends, relatives and neighbours to the Alpha course.

The Alpha course is running for a 11 week period, starting on Wed, 7 July. There are two classes currently running in church, one on Wednesdays (7.00pm - 9.15pm) and one on Sundays (12.45pm - 3pm).
